And, because of the way countdowns typically work, it'll be THESE 500 songs that ... over an indefinite amount of time from this point forward ... most sources will reference to.
And that's a REAL shame ... because this isn't ANYTHING like your "typical" countdown.
Our list ... as determined by the people who matter most ... the devoted listeners of Classic Rock Radio and Classic Rock Music ... doesn't fit into a nicely wrapped up package of 500 tunes.
OUR list shows THE TOP 3333 MOST ESSENTIAL CLASSIC ROCK SONGS as determined by YOU ...
And cutting that list off at #500 ... or even #1000 ... offers an extreme injustice to our findings ...
Because as everybody out there who has spent any time at all following along with our findings already knows, to do so is to eliminate an absolute treasure chest of classic rock hits that still deserve to be heard.
And the fact is, people WANT to hear them ... or they wouldn't have made this list!
So yes, by all means, please continue counting down with us ...
But take the blinders off and scan back over the literally hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of other GREAT Classic Rock Tracks that radio COULD be playing ... and SHOULD be playing ... if they really wanted to keep the genre alive.
